Prinsip-Prinsip Islamic Parenting dalam Model Pendidikan Homeschooling

Abstract

This study concludes that the parent’s decision to homeschool their children is not a form of carelessness or abandoment but rather a deep sense of love and care, and that it is based on the principles of Islamic Parenting. This conclusion was achieved by highlighting several aspects of the inadequacies of formal-conventional schools and simultaneously the benefits or advantages of homeschooling, viewed from an Islamic Parenting perspective. As is known, in Islamic teachings, parents are the first and most important educators of children, preparing them to become a strong young generation of Muslims who are able to meet the challenges of their eras. However, this is not an easy task to do, and requires more effort from parents in educating their children at home, both from the technical aspects of education, educational infrastructure at home, activeness in seeking information and developing knowledge, as well as a high level of patience and discipline
